Cheetah is Wolters-Kluwer’s legal database platform. You may be more familiar with Wolters-Kluwer as the owner of the Aspen line of casebooks and study aids, however, Cheetah offers access to many other, less student-centric databases including white papers, current news, and topical practice modules.
Cheetah is quite robust in the area of tax law, having acquired CCH in 1996. The banking and consumer finance module is also strong. And, in response to the pandemic, they added a COVID-19 module with information on return-to-work, employee benefits, and labor issues among others.
To find Cheetah from the library’s home page; under For UofSC, including Law, select Law Databases; choose the Q-Z tab in the side menu and select Wolters Kluwer Academic Legal Professional Library (Cheetah). This brings up a login screen. You will need to create a login and password if you are a new user.
NOTE: Remote access requires a VPN connection before you click the link to bring up the login screen.
